Marguerite grew up being told she was
greatest gift that could come out of a
mistake. When she was older her mother would
tell her about the one night stand that she
would never be able to forget. It all
started when an up and coming screenplay
writer Aimee Dupont met this man at a
Hollywood party and after a few laughs and a
lot of cocktails they ended up in a hotel
room together. The next morning Aimee woke
up to an empty room and a thank you note. It
wasn't until later that day and the help of
the internet that Aimee would discover that
she had slept with a married man who was
also a popular sports agent. She was upset
but decided to act like that night never
happened. A month later she would learn that
she wouldn't be able to forget her one night
stand like she planned because she was left
with a little parting gift...she was
pregnant.
Marguerite Dupont was
born on December 28, 1990. Once Aimee
found out she was pregnant she had reached
out to the father. After lengthy
discussions it was decided that due to his
situation she would raise her daughter on
her own. Which she did for four years. The
pair were inseparable and everyone called
little Margot her mother's mini me. Thanks
to an inheritance Aimee was able to become
a stay at home mom and also work on her
writing. For four years it was just the
two of them against the world, until Paul.
Paul Levine was a heart surgeon who had
already been married once and not looking
for anything serious when he met Aimee.
But unfortunately once he met Margot his
stance on never settling down again went
right out the window.
Some of Margot's closest
friends were young actors in the making.
Margot would tag along with them to
auditions and found the whole thing pretty
exciting. She spoke to her parents about
wanting to try her hand at auditioning for
things also. Paul had some celebrity
neighbors but he wasn't into the Hollywood
scene so the whole idea was a little
intimidating to him. Aimee on the other hand
was excited about the idea of her daughter
becoming an actress. Aimee decided to let
Margot audition for little commercials now
and then until she was sure that this was
what she wanted to do with her life.
In 2003 Margot landed the role of Eloise in
the tv movies Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise
at Christmastime. The tv films centered on
an imaginative girl living in New York City
with her nanny and the adventures they go
through. Margot had a lot of fun filming the
movie. She loved playing a different
character and meeting other actors. After
filming the movie she went to her parents
and told them that she decided that she
definitely wanted to be an actress but she
wanted to at least complete high school
first. Aimee and Paul were happy that they
had raised a daughter with a good head on
her shoulders.
When Margot was 18 Aimee decided that it was
time that she told her daughter about her
father. She sat down with Paul and Margot
and explained that Paul wasn't her
biological father. Paul explained to Margot
that she had been his daughter in every way
that counts since she was four years old.
Margot was devastated. She couldn't believe
that the two people she trusted most in the
world had lied to her all her life.
Thankfully her career was the outlet she
needed and she was able to avoid her
parents. Paul and Aimee agreed to let Margot
comes to terms with everything on her own
and just remind her that they would always
be there for her. Eventually Margot realized
that her parents did what they thought was
right for her so she forgave them. Her
mother asked if she wanted to know the
identity of her biological father but
feeling that it would be a betrayal to Paul,
the only father she ever knew she decided
not to reveal his name. Aimee informed her
if she ever decided she wanted to know she
would be happy to tell her.
With her family issues resolved Margot
turned all her attention back to doing what
she loved, acting. As Margot stands today,
she has kept her ability to face the world
and focus on what makes her happy. She's
made a name for herself as a strong actress,
particularly because of her roles as in
films such as My Sister's Keeper, Marcy May
Marlene, and Silver Linings Playbook to name
a few. She
also has gained a huge following with her
work in the X Men franchise as baddie turned
superhero Mystique. Her ability to jump head
first into the skin of a character
completely unlike her is a trait she has
been commended for numerous times. Her
number one goal has always been, to be happy
with what she's doing and to do what makes
her happy. She will continue to do so, no
matter what happens in her life because
that's what has gotten her this far and has
been working for her. No drama from her past
or uncertainty of her future will stop her.
